Tecta America Corp. Partners with Ecostream for TectaSolar Roofing Solutions

Nation’s Largest Roofing Company to Work With Solar Energy Specialists

Skokie, IL, July 23, 2007—Simply put: solar roofing—using the energy created by the sun to generate electricity—is hot. It’s so hot that Tecta America Corp., the nation’s largest roofing company, and Ecostream U.S., pioneers in renewable energy, and specialists in solar systems for commercial energy solutions, have joined forces to lead the way in providing solar roofing solutions. The partnership will officially be announced at the BOMA International North American Commercial Real Estate Congress® and The Office Building Show, July 23 at the Javits Center in New York.

The collaborative has just been awarded a solar installation for the Pennsville Middle School in Pennsville, N.J.

“As Tecta America is a specialist in roofing and Ecostream in solar systems, it is a perfect fit to work together,” says Brad Burdic, National Marketing and Sales Manager of Ecostream, one of the world’s leading sustainable energy providers. “I have been working with Tecta for a number of years, and we are delighted to announce this partnership.”

The Tecta policy is to offer a complete portfolio of roofing services to its customers, which includes roofing membranes which are appropriate for the building, and energy solutions that can be constructed in concert with re-roofing activities to minimize project coordination issues.

“Tecta America has been a longtime proponent of green initiatives with our TectaGreen roof systems, and adding TectaSolar energy solutions will complement the mix of energy-efficient options for building owners and facility managers,” said Mark Santacrose, CEO and President of Tecta America.

Solar energy can be beneficial in many ways, including providing energy security and independence, not giving off emissions, helping to save money on energy bills, and creating jobs.

As the need arises to find economical energy solutions, more companies in America are exploring alternative options to provide their energy needs. Focusing on large institutional and industrial companies that require technical roofing and environmentally focused energy solutions makes a great deal of sense. Utilizing the roof to generate electricity takes advantage of the building functionality to produce energy, and using an experienced roofing installer such as Tecta America, which has the technical work force to ensure a watertight membrane, adds peace of mind.
