Construction Services' experience in the roofing business dates back to 1943. In that year a proprietorship was formed by Louis S. Pinkston in Vernon, Texas under the name Pioneer Roofing Company.

By 1960, the company had grown and developed into the corporation known as Pinkston-Hollar Construction Services, Inc., DBA Construction Services, based in Amarillo, Texas. Construction Services became known for its expertise in handling larger and more complex roofing projects and by the early 1970s was performing work from North Dakota to Florida.

In 1981, a branch office was opened in Houston, Texas to serve the upper Gulf Coast area. Seven years later another office was formed in Atlanta, Georgia to handle our operations in the Southeast. Our growth into new markets has been made with the same commitments that were the basis of our founding in 1943. We focus our attention toward providing quality craftsmanship and superior service to those with whom we are working.

On February 10, 2000, Construction Services and nine other organizations merged to form Tecta America Corp., which is currently one of the nation’s largest national roofing contractors.
